Immerse yourself with all that Southport, NC has to offer by booking your stay at The Southport Cottage! Our home is conveniently located a couple blocks from Downtown Southport where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, museums and the Marina!
Upon arriving to the cottage you will find there is plenty of parking for four or more vehicles including a golf cart or boat should you decide to bring them. Once you take the white door to the back yard you will find a couple patio areas for lounging, a fire pit and a freshly cleaned Hot Tub. There is also a washing station outside for those sandy beach days! Inside we have a smart TV, WiFi, dining area for six and a laundry room so you can pack light! We have the sleeping arrangements covered with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and access to two cribs for smaller children.
Things To Do
Bring your rods and tackle to enjoy some of the best off shore fishing locations in the state of NC encountering Summer Flounder, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Amberjacks, Red Drum and more! There are a number of local fishing charters that are available for booking during your stay. If you wish to rent a golf cart or bicycle during your stay there are a few places near by that do offer rentals. Just make you sure you book in advance during summer months. When it comes to dining, the options are endless. Head into town for a list of options or the coastline to enjoy dining on the water. Our family favorite is Oliver's but you can't go wrong! There are two parks very close to the cottage along with a tennis court and walking trails.
Venture off shore on the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry to explore Carolina Beach, Kure Beach or Fort Fisher. Fun Fact: Carolina Beach, Freeman Park, is the ONLY beach in NC that you can drive your 4X4 vehicle on. Find a good spot to do some shore fishing and relax or check out the Boardwalk. Most of our beach days are typically spent on Oak Island at any of the beach accesses but we always love a good Carolina beach excursion.
